  • A Parent’s Guide to Gifted Children: Raising a gifted child is a joy and a challenge, yet parents of gifted children have few resources for reliable parenting information.  This is a good resource and guide to understand and raise gifted children. It is a valuable book because the book’s authors collectively have decades of professional experience with gifted children and their families. Some of the book’s contents include definition and characteristics of giftedness, communicating, motivating, disciplining, and punishing gifted children; perfectionism, idealism, friendships, and family relationships of the gifted, among others.
